A typical consultation will give me essential information to help me to assess your state of health holistically.  I will also conduct diagnostic tests and take blood pressure and weight measurements. This process will help me to understand where the areas of imbalance lie, and the likely causes (health issues rarely arise from a single cause).

Your programme will be emailed to you within 48 hours; it will be made up of an initial adjustment of current nutrition and lifestyle patterns; you will be given information about Ayurveda that allows you to understand the changes and advice I have given, as well as a suggested  course of massage treatments. A follow- up, shorter consultation is a vital part of the programme (usually arranged for 3-4 weeks after), as it allows us to discuss your progress and ascertain if there are any further adjustments or changes to be made. Thereafter, we would aim to meet  roughly every three months. Health  maintenance requires commitment and patience, so we will make changes slowly and realistically.  We are looking for long-term improvements, not quick fixes.

Therapeutic face massage

An intrinsic part of Ayurveda is massage. The face massage I offer is highly therapeutic, clearing toxins and tension from the facial muscles and the mind, and calming the nerves. It is very effective for the treatment of insomnia and fatigue, and helps to alleviate the effects on the skin of pollution, alcohol, tobacco and irregular and unhealthy eating. It is often suggested as part of your treatment programme but can also be beneficial during particularly stressful or restless periods such as wedding or other significant event planning.

I use a combination of natural ingredients such as pure triphala (three flowers) powder decoction, liquorice powder, sandalwood powder, saffron -infused sesame oil, rosewater and fresh aloe vera. Additionally, specific essential oils may be used to massage marma (energy) points to alleviate particular issues that have been discussed.  Regular Ayurvedic face massage is also highly rejuvenative for the face  – a natural face-lift that leaves the skin glowing!

Fees:

First consultation of 1.5 hours- £150.00 (to include a written programme).

Follow-up consultation of 45 minutes- £60.00

Face massage- 50 minutes – £60.00
